May 17th is Norway’s annual National Day. The weather was great, with a day of warm sunshine. Oslo city was so crowded with people that in some places it was difficult to even pass through on foot. A lot of people wore traditional Norwegian clothing, which contributed to the good, happy atmosphere. People from all over Oslo came to the city to join in the festivities. Practitioners thought that this would be an excellent chance to meet a lot of people quickly to tell them about Falun Gong and show them the beauty of the exercises. Practitioners also told people about the cruel persecution in Mainland China, which has already resulted in over 700 innocent deaths.

Practitioners managed to find a place to demonstrate the exercises and hand out leaflets. Most of the time, there was a lively collection of people nearby. Practitioners had hardly started to demonstrate the exercises, when one man asked where he could learn. Throughout the day, many people expressed an interest in the exercise demonstration and many Chinese people also gladly accepted the information material. Two Asian women, who turned out to be from Thailand, got very excited when they knew that Falun Gong was being practised in Norway and one of them embraced a practitioner warmly and said: "that’s so good, that’s so good!” The people of Norway have come to have a deeper understanding of Falun Gong. They will surely have a bright future.
