United States: Washington DC practitioners hold "Journey of Falun Dafa" Photo Exhibition on Freedom Plaza

Beginning on June 9, 2003, Washington DC Dafa practitioners began holding a "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition on Freedom Plaza in downtown Washington DC. Their goal is to further clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution in China, to support the global trial against Jiang, and to call for the release of fellow practitioner and American citizen Charles Li, who is illegally imprisoned in China.

Today, the weather changed from being rainy and cloudy in previous days to being pleasant with a clear sky. Freedom Plaza is located in the centre of large media organisation and government buildings. Though it was a working day, many practitioners made their efforts to support this activity: some did the sitting meditation to demonstrate the exercises, some sent forth righteous thoughts, while others distributed truth-clarifying literature. Two huge banners with the words "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" were prominently displayed alongside the photos.
