On November the 8th 2003, Falun Gong practitioners held a “Falun Gong Night” activity in Cham City, Germany. This received much attention from the local media. Reporters from two local newspapers secretly mingled amongst the audience. After viewing the performances, the reporters individually wrote a detailed report covering half page of their respective newspapers on their understanding of Falun Gong. One of them wrote, “Falun Gong is not a cult; it is neither political nor religious. It is based on the principle of doing everything in one’s life according to ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’.”
One lady, Uta Wiedmann, talked about how her cancer was miraculously cured after she began cultivating Falun Gong. Another lady, Monika Weis, talked about why she went to Tiananmen Square to tell the Chinese people that the world needs “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
Mrs. Muell talked about how she and many other practitioners were forced to sign a statement not to practise Falun Gong, against her own conscience, in China four years ago.
On Falun Gong Night, practitioners from all parts of Germany demonstrated the five sets of exercises. The newly established dancing team from the state of Bavaria performed the lotus dancing. At the end of the activities, a German documentary on the truth about Falun Gong was played.
