Five years ago on the 25th of April, around ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners went to the Central Appeal Office of the Chinese Communist Party which is located beside the Zhongnanhai residential compound to peacefully appeal, a right that should granted to them according to the Chinese Constitution. During the appeal, Falun Gong practitioners’ peaceful, rational, righteous behaviour and unshakable morality shocked the whole world. It left a glorious page for human history during this special period.
On July the 20th of the same year, Jiang’s regime gave way to their evil nature and started the cruel suppression of Falun Gong. From then on, Falun Gong practitioners started on their path, disregarding their own safety to expose the lies and slander and let people know the truth. During the five years that followed, 955 practitioners were tortured to death. Their image of not fearing the inhuman torture and vowing to adhere to their beliefs moved and inspired people. The five year path of Fa rectification has spread “Zhen (truthfulness), Shan (Compassion), Ren (Tolerance)” to the whole world.
At the time of commemorating the 5th Anniversary of the April the 25th peaceful appeal, we call for the Chinese Government to immediately stop persecuting Falun Gong, and for the international community to pay attention to this urgent issue.
