In May, Ireland is full of bright sunshine and gentle breezes. On May the 16th, Sunday, Irish Falun Gong practitioners joyfully performed singing and dancing in the streets in the centre of Dublin City to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, which was on May the 13th. Practitioners gave various performances, including traditional waist drumming, fan dancing, parasol dancing, songs on the Chinese flute, a demonstration of Falun Gong exercises, choral singing, etc. In the meantime, several thousand flyers were distributed.

This celebration activity showcased Irish practitioner’s traditional moral notions and cultural values, which are based on the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” advocated by Falun Gong. It also helped the public understand that such a wonderful and peaceful cultivation practice should not be persecuted unreasonably in China. These performances were highly supported by practitioners from the U.K.
