Practitioner Jiang Xiaoying from Jiujiang city, Jiangxi province is around fifty years old. She was a doctor in the Jiujiang Mental Hospital. Due to long-term torture at Majialong Forced Labour Camp, she suffered a mental breakdown. In 2002, soon after she managed to escape from the Balihu Detention Centre, she was arrested again and sent to the Majialong Labour Camp. When she was carried into the labour camp, she was unconscious. She could not recall what she had experienced, as she had been unconscious. It is suspected that the loss of memory resulted from severe beating. She often fell unconscious in the Camp. However, the criminal perpetrators who were incited by the police claimed that she pretended to be sick and continued torturing her. In the winter, they poured cold water on her when she was unconscious and they did not allow her to dry her wet sheet. They scalded her hands with boiling water, inserted needles into her fingertips (the marks still remain) and pinched her all over her body, leaving bruises and causing her clothes to stick to the bloody wounds.

When Jiang Xiaoying reported the torture to the police, they did not pay any attention to her. They asked her, "Weren't you unconscious? How did you know that someone was beating you?" When she was awake, she was often slapped or beaten up by the police. One time a criminal cornered her and beat her up. She also shoved a dirty shoe into Jiang Xiaoying's mouth. Another strong criminal beat her, causing severe wounds. When she requested to seek medical treatment, the police did not allow it. When she was finally sent to Ruichang city hospital for a physical examination, she had a lung infection. The brutal torture made her extremely weak and thin. She could not take care of herself. At present, she has a solid mass in her abdomen. Having suffered a mental breakdown, she developed some abnormal behaviour such as drinking urine and eating the discarded peels of fruit. Her health is poor.

According to sources, there are still about fifty practitioners being tortured at Majialong Forced Labour Camp.
