Jurgen Thierack, spokesman of the Munich Branch of the International Human Rights Association, said many international organizations pay close attention to China’s human rights situation. All those persecutors in China’s forced labour camps should understand that one day the crimes they have committed will be exposed to the public. The following is a report by Radio Free Asia special correspondent in Germany Tianyi:

As World Human Rights Day is approaching, the Munich Branch of the International Human Rights Association, Falun Gong practitioners and the Tibet organization held a series of activities in Southern Germany to expose the human rights violations and torture methods used in China. We interviewed Mr. Jurgen Thierack, spokesman of the Munich Branch of the International Human Rights Association.

Mr. Thierack told the reporter that the International Human Rights Association was established more than 30 years ago. Its original focus was on Eastern European countries’ human rights issues. Later, it was also concerned about the Tibet issue. The association, together with related Tibet organizations, conducted large-scale activities in Munich concerning the Tibet issue.

Mr. Thierack said that at present the Falun Gong issue has become one of the association’s major concerns because Falun Gong is severely persecuted in China. Thousands of people are incarcerated or have become homeless. The association’s work is to try its best to collect detailed information about various kinds of human rights persecution facts. Secondly, it provides this information to all kinds of media and organizations so as to allow them to learn what has been going on in China. Thirdly, it launches appeals to call for rescue and support, and call upon the public, media, governments, political figures and organizations to help those who are being persecuted.

Mr. Thierack stressed that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xiong Wei, who just returned to Germany, is a good example. The International Human Rights Association, Amnesty International and the Association for Threatened Peoples conducted widespread rescue activities in the German society during Xiong Wei’s imprisonment. Now, she finally obtained her freedom after two years of imprisonment.

He continued to explain that Xiong Wei’s story also told the labour camp staff that what they have done could be recorded and will be exposed to the public one day, because many international organizations pay close attention to this issue and keep records.
