Mr. Zhang Ruiyou was in his 40's and lived in Wei County, Hebei Province. He was very healthy as he cultivated Falun Dafa with a firm and steady faith. The local "610 Office" (1) started to harass him in January 2000. Twice they arrested Mr. Zhang. He died in December 2000 after repeated abuse from the authorities.

(1) "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
