On 22nd March 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Ukraine held an anti-torture exhibition at the Chinese Embassy, hoping that more people would get to know about the cruel persecution against the spiritual practice in China.

Two of the most common tortures used by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs were re-enacted. The scene was both touching and shocking, yet it showed only a fraction of the brutal persecution suffered by millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

During the anti-torture exhibition, the Chinese Embassy ordered one of its staff members to go and prevent passers-by from receiving Falun Gong leaflets. The police stopped him and said, “If you do this again, we will arrest you immediately.”

Two years ago, due to the Chinese Embassy’s deceitful actions, the local police didn’t allow Falun Gong practitioners to hold an appeal here. Now this has all changed. People know more and more about Falun Gong and the wickedness of the persecutors and they are ready to stand up for what is right.
