Nordic Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Stockholm during the Easter holidays to study the teachings of Falun Gong and share cultivation experiences. Little practitioners also got together to play, sing, make all kinds of Falun emblems or lotus flowers and recite Master Li’s poems. Both the adult and child practitioners practised the Falun Gong exercises together in the warm sunshine of early spring and enjoyed an unforgettable holiday.
Little Baby sings “Falun Dafa is good!”
Everyone felt happy to see the young practitioners. While sitting in a circle, they spent half an hour every day singing and reading Master Li’s collection of poems under the guidance of the adult practitioners. This was one of their favourite activities. We let them choose the songs and one of their favourites was the Chinese song “Falun Dafa Hao” (“Falun Dafa Is Great”). Even the little ones opened their mouths to sing. The youngest is less than two years old and although he can’t speak much yet, he could still say “Falun Dafa Is Great”.
My son suggested singing “Coming for You”. In the beginning, I was worried that the lyrics might be too difficult for the young practitioners and they might not have the patience to learn them. However, when we tried they were completely absorbed in the music. Some of them sang loudly and some listened quietly and gladly. Every one of them had glowing healthy faces. Their innocence and sincerity deeply moved everybody.
A cultivation environment for young practitioners
There were a lot of xinxing [heart/mind nature, moral character] tests among young practitioners. Eight-year-old Anton was an energetic boy. When the girls refused to play with him, he felt upset and dejected and started to cry loudly. I summoned all the young practitioners together and told them about the principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. They understood right away and got along with one another well again. When Anton talked about “enduring mental hardships” later, he used this event as an example and said, “I had a hard time when I felt heartbroken. It is not easy to endure the anger.”
Like adults, young children need a cultivation environment. During the Easter break, the young practitioners listened to the cultivation stories of others, read “Hong Yin”, practised Falun Gong exercises and resolved the tribulations whenever they arose. All of these factors have helped to make a cultivation environment.
