55 Year Old Practitioner Mr. Liang Xiujun from Hebei Province Dies of Persecution

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liang Xiujun from Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, died under both mental and financial persecution on June 17th, 2005.

Mr. Liang Xiujun, 55 years old, lived in Zhuozhou City. He was unyielding in his practice of Falun Dafa and told about the goodness of Falun Dafa to the people he met. He was arrested and detained multiple times and was subjected to intensive brainwashing between 2001 and 2003. At the Nanma Brainwashing Centre, he was forced to undertake heavy labour and had money extorted from him. Due to the brutal torture, he was paralysed when he returned home.

In 2003, Mr. Liang's wife, Wang Shumin, was detained for 15 days in Zhuozhou City Detention Centre for exposing the persecution to people. She was held in a brainwashing centre for more than 40 days. She was forced to undergo brainwashing sessions and do heavy labour. She also had three thousand yuan¹ extorted from her.

Under such heavy mental and financial pressure, Mr. Liang's condition quickly worsened. He died on June 17th, 2005.

Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Li Heng from Zhuozhou City, was tortured in Baoding City Labour Camp. He had a stroke as a result of the persecution. Mr. Li Heng died on June 12th, 2005, after being paralysed for three years.
