Four Falun Dafa Practitioners in Liaoning and Hebei Provinces Die Due to Persecution

Ms. Liu Guixiang, a Falun Dafa practitioner who lived in Pulandian City, Liaoning Province, was 47 years old when she went to Beijing to appeal on October 1st 2000. Upon returning home to Pulandian, Liaoning, she was detained for more than three months. She was detained again for holding banners, and released only after her family rescued her. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing class by the local 610 Office (1) in 2002. During that time her home was ransacked and her family members have been harassed many times since then. Her breast cancer relapsed under long-term persecution, and she died in April 2004.

Mr. Han Gang, 49, lived with his older sister, a Falun Dafa practitioner, because lifelong illness prevented him from living alone. In 1999 he started studying and practising Falun Dafa with his sister. His physical condition improved dramatically, his cheeks turned pinkish, and many miracles happened to him after practising Falun Dafa. His older sister was arrested in 2001 by the 610 Office and all of their Falun Dafa books were confiscated. He was left alone, with no environment for cultivation. His old sickness relapsed, and he died suddenly.

Ms. Qian Yulian, 64, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Fushen City, Liaoning Province. She learned Falun Dafa in 1997, and the practice improved both her mind and body. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, the neighbourhood administration kept harassing her at home, making her family very afraid. Under the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) long-term persecution, Ms. Qian died on July 7th 2003.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wengui, 71, lived in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. He used to have diabetes, but practising Falun Dafa cured him in 1996. At the end of October 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal together with his wife and son, but he was taken back. His employer and local 610 Office withheld his salary, imposed fines on him and illegally sentenced him to prison. The persecutors also withheld his wife's salary and forced her into financial hardship before sending her to a detention centre. The persecutors withheld his son's salary and forced him to go through brainwashing sessions three times, and detained the son for two months in Qinhuangdao City First and Second Detention Centres. After detention his son was immediately sentenced to two years of forced labour and detained in the Tangshan Forced Labour Camp. At the same time Li Wengui had to pay for his five year-old granddaughter's living expenses. Under long-term persecution, Mr. Li Wengui died on August 4th 2003.
