Broadcast by Radio France International: Former Chinese '6-10' Officer and Diplomat Discuss the CCP's Persecution Against Falun Gong and Human Rights Issues in China (Part 2)

For two consecutive days from the 24th to the 25th of October 2005, the Chinese section of Radio France International broadcast special interviews with Hao Fengjun, a former Chinese official from the ‘6-10 Office’, and former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin on subjects of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong and human rights issues in China. Part one is available at The second part of the interview was aired on the 25th of October during the news programme for Asia Pacific and the greater Parisian area. A transcript of the broadcast is as follows:

The Epoch Times held a press conference at the Foreign Press Reception Centre in Paris. Former diplomat at the Chinese Embassy to Australia who since defected, Chen Yonglin, gave a speech to expose the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. After the conference, Chen made the following comments during an interview with Radio France International’s reporter Xiao Man:

While such a mechanism of persecution is functioning, it is not at all effective. In fact, the policy of persecuting Falun Gong is wrong. The tougher the CCP crack down, the stronger Falun Gong will fight back.

It has been at least six years since the crackdown. In my opinion, there are three reasons why this persecution is still carrying on:

First of all, the CCP propagates lies. The media brainwashes people in bombardment. As far as I know, most people in China still believe the lies spread by the CCP. Indeed, the lies have been repeated too many times.

Secondly, the CCP employs brutal physical torture. As a totalitarian communist system, the CCP would utilise all resources at its disposal to eliminate any organization or group that could potentially threaten its power. Falun Gong is regarded as the largest group of dissidents, which is what prompted the CCP’s persecution with all its resources.

Lastly, China’s five-thousand-year-old culture has been destroyed through the CCP’s brainwashing. In fact nowadays nothing is left of the core of the Chinese culture. Many Chinese people do not even have a basic conscience. Many of those who have lost their conscience or regard their party nature as more important than their human nature would cooperate to carry out the persecution policy, especially those in the government.

For example, my predecessor was rewarded as an excellent cadre in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mainly for his outstanding work against Falun Gong. He was quickly promoted. This was an example that the CCP has resorted to all means within its mechanism to encourage the persecution of Falun Gong.

As a matter of fact this kind of persecution policy can not last. It is obvious now that the more brutally the CCP persecutes, the stronger Falun Gong will fight back. Their energy exceeded the CCP’s initial estimate.
