On December 22nd, Swedish Falun Gong practitioners went to the Argentinean Embassy to call for the Argentinean Government not to submit to the CCP; to remain firm on standpoints of justice and uphold human rights.

On December 14th 2005, when Falun Gong practitioners were holding a protest outside the National Congress building while a Chinese delegation headed by Luo Gan was visiting Argentina, Falun Gong practitioners were attacked by Chinese assailants sent by the Chinese Embassy. Banners and poster displays documenting human rights violations in China were stolen by the assailants. However, the Argentinian police, though at the scene, did little to stop the assaults under instruction from the Chinese officials.

After the news passed to the Swedish people via the media, Falun Gong practitioners and many Swedish people condemned the CCP’s conduct of extending the persecution overseas.

The Argentinian Embassy is situated in a small downtown area; there are many pedestrians out and about at midday. Many people stopped to view our banners, and asked, “Is the persecution of Falun Gong only happening in China?” Practitioners answered their question while distributing Falun Gong leaflets and in a short time all the materials were gone. A few passers-by watched the Falun Gong exercise demonstration for a long time without leaving.

After the activity finished, a police officer who was accompanying us all through the course of the activity said, “Your demonstration is really peaceful and in order, it would be good if all other demonstrators could conduct themselves like you Falun Gong practitioners do. I wish you all a Merry Christmas!”
