On January the 21st, people from the eastern city of Kremenchuk in Ukraine held an activity to support the Council of Europe’s ‘Draft Resolution to Condemn the Communist Party’s Crimes’.
During the gathering, a representative of the Popular Movement of Ukraine Party said: “We, the Popular Movement of Ukraine, are one of the parties existing from the time of the former Soviet Union. We have revealed the Communist Party’s crimes for a long period of time. We have done a lot of work in this respect and we’re still continuing to do these activities. Today we express our attitude towards the Communist Party through the parade, support international society condemning the Community Party’s crimes, condemning the crime of eliminating the Ukrainian people committed by the Soviet Communist Party.”
Another activity organiser said: “The goal of organising this activity is to express our support to international society’s condemnation of the Communist totalitarian crimes. The Communist Party has the same violent nature in any country. We appeal to all people to condemn the Communist Party’s crimes.”
A young man told an Epoch Times reporter: “The Communist Party’s theory is an evil theory, creating violence and wickedness. All Communist Party’s regimes use violence. They don’t allow other beliefs and are against mankind. No matter when or where, the means which every Communist autocratic government uses are the same evil. During the Soviet Communist Party’s rule, many Ukrainians’ lives were deprived by the evil Communist Party and many other people were jailed in prison camps. Now the Chinese Communist regime persecutes Falun Gong practitioners, using the same means, or even more evil means to persecute good, kind people. We not only condemn the Communist Party’s previous crimes, but also should condemn the ongoing crimes committed by the remaining Communist regimes. To make a point, the first thing is to understand that the Communist theory is an evil theory.”
