Through March 17th -19th 2006, the annual Irish “International Body, Mind and Spirit Exhibition” was held at the biggest exhibition centre in Dublin, the Royal Dublin Society (RDS). This year, Irish Falun Gong practitioners were invited to join this exhibition and offered a free site again. Practitioners seized this chance to tell Irish people about the persecution of Falun Gong and in particular about the Sujiatun Concentration Camp.

For three days practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and performed some traditional Chinese-style dances such as the Lotus Flower Dance and the Parasol Dance. In addition, practitioners further explained to the audience about what Falun Gong is and the continuing persecution, which has been going on for nearly seven years. They exposed the most recently revealed human rights crimes of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP): in a secret state-run death camp the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, Falun Gong practitioners’ organs are harvested, even when the practitioners are still alive, and sold for a huge profit. The practitioners are then immediately cremated to destroy any evidence.

One lady who attended the previous year’s exhibition told us that she obtained an exercise instruction video last time. She has been practising since then and she also teaches the exercises to her relatives. One young man said he used to do the exercises in London. He was very happy to see practitioners as he can practise the exercises with others again. Many people expressed their willingness to join the free weekly exercises class in Dublin. People outside Dublin also inquired how they can learn the exercises. Practitioners told them that they can download all materials from the Internet for free. Now and then, practitioners will also go to their areas and teach them the exercises in person.

Numerous people took Falun Gong leaflets and material regarding the Sujiatun Concentration Camp. People were all shocked at the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP. Especially when they learned how those practitioners died in the Sujiatun concentration camp, they sighed, shook their heads, and condemned the CCP’s crimes.

Many Irish citizens were attracted by these five sets of peaceful exercises. Some people took the exercises video so that they could learn them at home and some asked for information about the local classes. Many started learning it immediately. Falun Gong became the star of the exhibition. When the whole event was near its end, the organiser came to practitioners specifically to express her thanks. She thanked them for bringing peacefulness to the exhibition as well as wonderful performances. The practitioners also thanked her for her invitation and support.
