On March 25th 2006, Falun Gong practitioners and volunteers from the Epoch Times newspaper held activities near Helsinki train station in support of the nine million brave people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party. The activity was also in protest against the Communist regime’s atrocities in Sujiatun concentration camp where Falun Gong practitioners have been killed, their organs removed for profit and their bodies cremated to destroy evidence of the crimes. They called upon all kind-hearted people to stand together to condemn the evil Chinese Communist Party and stop the atrocities.
Among the protesters were two ladies wearing a “hunger strike” sign. While giving out leaflets exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s atrocities, they called on people to help stop this violence together.
One of them was a Ms Chen. She said, “When I first heard about the atrocities in Sujiatun concentration camp committed by the Chinese Communist regime against Falun Gong practitioners, I was extremely concerned. Today I would like to express my strongest protest against the evil Chinese Communist Party by taking part in the 24 hour hunger strike. These terrible atrocities occurred in today’s civilised world. It is an insult to the whole human race and the whole world. I hope my actions help to awaken people’s conscience and sense of justice so that urgent actions can be taken to rescue the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.”
When the activities began, it was very chilly with strong winds followed by snow. But the bad weather didn’t affect people’s concern. The expressions of support could be heard continuously: “Well done!” “I Support you!” “Wish you luck!” “I want to know more” “How can I help you?” “Where can I learn Falun Gong?” Many people accepted leaflets and signed our petition.
A student from the University of Helsinki spoke to Falun Gong practitioner Dr Li who is doing research work in the University. The student said, “This topic is really not good. It is too cruel. But I know Falun Gong is very peaceful, similar to Tai Chi.” Dr Li told him about the Epoch Times editorial “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” which details the evil nature of the Communist Party. Dr Li recommended him to read it from the Internet. From it he would understand why the Chinese Communist regime wanted to persecute Falun Gong. The student agreed and signed the petition.
A few girls in bright colourful clothes came to the petition table with big smiles. When they saw the banner “Falun Gong practitioners killed and their organs removed in the concentration camp”, they immediately stopped laughing and asked a practitioner who was holding the banner a series of questions: “What is Falun Gong? Why is Falun Gong persecuted? How is the human rights problem in China related to us?” The practitioner explained to them: "Falun Gong is a cultivation method from China. It teaches people to be good by following the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. The Communist Party is evil. It promotes lies, evilness and violence. Therefore it wants to persecute good people. Even Falun Gong practitioners in Finland are interfered with by it."
The practitioner continued: "Nowadays you can see many cheap products in Finnish markets that are “Made in China”. Many of them were made by Chinese people detained in forced labour camps, among them are many Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to give up their belief in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. You know that there are many large Finnish companies doing business with China. These companies have to follow the order of the Chinese Communist regime, which does not allow the companies to employ Falun Gong practitioners and does not allow these companies to have their own correct view about Falun Gong. Otherwise they are not allowed to do business in China. The regime uses money and profit to silence big companies, many governments and media. As result, the regime’s persecution of Falun Gong becomes worse and worse. The atrocities of killing and taking organs from Falun Gong practitioners and cremating their bodies in the Sujiatun concentration camp are totally beyond people’s imagination, it is already the actions of demons. Could we still stay silent? Is silence a further encouragement? The result would be more people would be persecuted. The disasters brought by the Nazis in Germany to the whole of Europe and the world in the World War II demonstrated this very clearly." The girls all nodded in agreement and then carefully signed the petition.
