On May 6th, 2006, the Swedish centre for withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party, supporters of human rights in China, volunteers from the Epoch Times newspaper and Falun Gong practitioners held a joint activity at Mynttorget Square in Stockholm, supporting ten million people who have renounced their membership of the Chinese Communist Party and calling on society for their attention to the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist regime in its persecution of Falun Gong. The regime has been harvesting organs for profit from live Falun Gong practitioners and then cremated their bodies to destroy the evidence. Lots of posters, banners and photos exposing the crimes of the Chinese Communist regime between 1949 and 2006 were exhibited.

Posters attracted the attention of many tourists, shoppers and passersby Kind Swedish people queued to sign the petition supporting Falun Gong

Vasilius, the organiser of the activity, exposed the Chinese Communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to people through load speakers. He appealed to people to support the counter-persecution efforts. Many leaflets exposing Chinese Communist regime’s crimes and renouncing the CCP membership were distributed to the passers-by.

Mynttorget Square is located nearby the City Administration Hall Stadshus, a few steps away from the Royal Palace and Parliament. Thus it is a tourist location and people doing shopping have to pass. The weather was very good that day. Many people in the square were attracted by the broadcast from the load speaker and posters. They came to read the banners and posters. After hearing the introduction and reading the posters, kind Swedish people queued to sign our petition. A student said: “I will have a Party today. I want all my friends to sign the petition. Please give me a few petition forms and relevant material.”

A lady from China carefully read the posters and took a photo of the banner “Without the CCP, there will be a truly new China”. She asked for the special edition of the Epoch times with the article “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”. She also happily accepted the booklet “Sharing with you a few truths” from Falun Gong practitioner. She asked: “Can you freely hold banners and give out leaflets in the street?” Practitioners replied: “we have to apply to the police for the permission and we have the permission”. She sighed: “It is truly a democratic country. In China you are not able to see these things.”

A few Chinese people accepted the “Nine Commentaries” and said: “The Chinese Communist Party is very good at lies and brainwashing. Everyone should read the “Nine Commentaries” to clear their brain.” A middle-aged gentleman from China specifically asked for a copy of “Zhuan Falun” the main teaching of Falun Gong after accepting “the Nine Commentaries”.

After reading the posters, a person of Chinese origin said: “The Communist Party is truly bad. It is horrific that they harvest organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. The Epoch Times did a wonderful job in reporting the incident in great detail and in a timely manner. I think that it is very important to let the International Communities know the truth. Such terrible atrocities cannot be ignored. The Chinese Communist Party is totally corrupted. Chinese people feel hopeless. The Epoch Times helps people to know the truth and see through the Chinese Communist Party.”

Ms Kang, a Volunteer from the Epoch Times, took over twenty copies of the Epoch Times to the Royal Palace to give out to tourists from China. She said these tourists were very eager to read the newspaper after learning that the “Nine Commentaries” triggered the great tide of withdraws from the Chinese Communist Party.

The activity lasted until 3:00pm. A large amount of material in Chinese, English and Swedish were given out. Many people learned the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party through this activity.
