On March 9th, 2006, I went to Jiuzhan, planning to distribute several copies of "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party1," but I was arrested before I distributed any copies. I was in the residence apartment near Jiuzhan Paper Factory when the police came and arrested me after receiving a tip.

A few policemen dragged me to the Jiuzhan Police Station. With a smile on my face, I started to explain the true situation about Falun Gong to the police. I said to the police, "I am a senior citizen that used to live in Jiuzhan. I returned to Jiuzhan today by bus for the purpose of explaining the true situation about Falun Gong." I continued, "The Epoch Times published 'The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party' in order to reveal to the public an endless litany of heinous crimes that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has committed since it took power in China. The CCP has killed millions of people. Worst of all, it has murdered by torture Falun Gong cultivators that followed the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." But those policemen refused to listen. They handcuffed me and took me back home. After ransacking my home and confiscating several of Teacher's photographs, Teacher's new articles and all the Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution, they dragged me back to the police station.

The police stuffed me in a special iron chair and locked my ankles, wrists and torso to the chair. A policeman said, "You are older than me. As soon as you tell us who you get these materials from, I will release you right away without any fuss. Just say it. Take care of yourself. Forget about others. You don't need to suffer through this." I thought to myself, "I shall never give away any information to these depraved policemen. I shall never give them any chance to persecute my fellow practitioners." This special agent repeatedly threatened me to tell him the fellow practitioner that supplied me with these materials, but I ignored him. Eventually he gave up and left.

Next the chief of the police station entered the room with two policemen. The three of them were very drunk when they started to torture me. At the time I told them solemnly, "You must not inflict me with any torture!" The police chief said, "But I will! I will not only torture you, but also put you in jail after I am done with you!" I told them, "You have no power over me!"

The police chief soaked a towel in a liquid drug and liquor. (The liquid drug turned milky white after coming into contact with the liquor.) They gagged my mouth and nose with the towel and tied my head to the back of the chair with a belt, with my head tilted upward. With my face facing up, they kept pouring the mixture over the towel. They didn't care if I was suffocating. I used my tongue to stop myself from swallowing any liquid. I repeatedly retched the mixture while they were force-feeding me with it. I almost choked on it during the process. They poured out almost an entire quart bottle of the liquid drug. I retched all over my clothes and the floor around the iron chair.

Next, the police started a new torture. The three of them each used a cigarette lighter to burn my fingertips and toes. Seven of my fingertips were badly burned. My left big toe was burned badly. My fingernails turned black. To this day my fingertips have not healed. They continue to discharge pus and blood. The pain is unbearable, but at the time of the torture the pain was even worse. I felt I'd be better off dead.

While some of them were burning my fingertips with lighters, others were shocking me with an electric baton and beating me with a very thick wooden club. When they finally became exhausted, the police dragged me to the ground from the iron chair. A policeman kept pulling my arms up from the back and kept my legs straight. The police chief produced a thick iron bar and laid it across my legs. Then he sat on top of the iron bar, adding a lot of weight on my legs. Words cannot describe the excruciating pain. Next, they pressed my upper body forward, put a chair on my back and had a policeman sit in the chair, forcing my upper body forward to the ground. Moreover, he pulled my arms up by force while sitting on my back. The pain was excruciating. Even to this day, my shoulders and arms are still in a lot of pain.

After a night of torture, the three of them still would not leave me alone. They tied me to the iron chair and cuffed my arms and legs to the chair. They did not untie me until the morning. The back of my hands became very swollen and my legs turned blue. I was unable to walk.

At around noon of the next day (March 10th, 2006), the police transferred me to the Fengman Precinct Detention Centre. At the detention centre, I asked them, "What type of drug did you put in the liquor?" They replied, "It was a lethal drug." The police chief pointed at me and said to another policeman, "This is a good person." I questioned the police chief, "Since you know I am a good person. Why did you take me here?" He didn't answer.

I developed a fever. I felt cold and shivered. I felt pain in every inch of my body. The pain was unbearable. The liquid mixture that they poured over me burned my face in many places. My hair and my clothes were filthy from the vomiting. Since that day, I had severe cramps every day. The physician at the detention centre diagnosed it to be caused by the drug. I was on medication for about two weeks to discharge the poison out of my body. Afterwards, the cramps stopped. I survived the poisoning, but I felt a lot of pain all over my body. I became muddleheaded. For about two weeks I was bedridden. The warden of the detention centre and the physician notified Jiuzhan Police Station to take me home. However, the police from Jiuzhan lied to both the detention centre and me. They told the detention centre that they were taking me home, but in fact they transferred me, as well as three fellow Falun Gong practitioners, to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City.

I refused to cooperate with the police. I told them, "I did not commit any crime. It is you that have committed crimes. You are persecuting me and you are now trying to throw me into a forced labour camp. I refuse to enter such a place. You are the criminals. It is you that should be locked up." However, they dragged me into the forced labour camp by force.

Once in the forced labour camp, I started to expose the police's crimes. I said, "The Jiuzhan Police Station almost killed me. They tried to kill me by force-feeding me with a mixture of liquor and poison. Moreover, they burned my fingers with lighters. They have inflicted excruciating pain upon me. They persecuted me. They are the criminals." An official at the forced labour camp inspected my fingers and saw that they were terribly burned and that my fingernails were black. She declared right away, "We cannot take her. She must be released right now." However, the police from Jiuzhan Police Station refused to give up. They dragged me somewhere with no one else present and started kicking and cursing at me while declaring fiercely, "I cannot put you in there now, but I will give you hell!"

In order to put me into the forced labour camp, they devised a scheme. They took me to a public security hospital in Changchun City and brought me to the emergency surgical centre. They asked the physician to guarantee in writing that I was fit enough for labour education. Once they obtained a guarantee, they brought me back to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp. It was already after 6:00PM when we were at the camp. Everyone had left work, so they had to make some phone calls to ask the admissions official to come back. She looked at the doctor's note and inspected my hands again. She said, "No. She will develop infections in her hands, which will affect her ability to perform labour. We cannot take her." The police from Jiuzhan Police Station pleaded with the admissions person for a long time, but she was very determined not to take me. Eventually, they gave up and brought me back to the police station. I felt cold and was in a lot of pain. They kept me in the police station until midnight.
