On May the 16th Falun Gong practitioners, the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) and The Epoch Times newspaper jointly held a press conference in the Local News Graduate, St. Petersburg. Those present at the news conference included St. Petersburg human rights activists, representatives of the city government, historians, and representatives of social groups. Reporters of Summit Hours, a well-known newspaper in Russia, and a local newspaper also attended the news conference.

Mr. Andley, a representative of the Falun Dafa Association in Russia, introduced to those present the seven years of brutal persecution inflicted on Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese communist regime, previously headed by Jiang Zemin. Mr. Andley particularly informed his audience of the recently exposed atrocities in China’s concentration camps where Falun Gong practitioners’ organs are removed when they are still alive and their bodies are cremated. The audiences felt deeply shocked by these terrifying crimes.

Mr. Faldoven, a representative of the human rights group Citizens Watch, pointed out that China’s human rights problems had caused concern among the international community and that the Chinese communist regime had been notoriously known as “The Evil Totalitarian Dynasty” among the international human rights groups.

Mr. Doliyu, a historian and a former political commentator, stated that China’s current totalitarianism made it very hard to expose to the world more facts of its concentration camps and that there was almost no generally acknowledged human rights protector in China. The historian believes that the international support for investigating China’s concentration camps aided in breaking the CCP’s Iron Curtain. Above all, he claimed, more international groups and governments should involve themselves in the investigation.

Mr. Auguzofu, the chairperson of the social charity group Kindness Foundation, stated that to remove organs from imprisoned living Falun Gong practitioners was a barbarous crime of torturing and killing committed by the CCP and could never be tolerated by people of conscience. At the end of the press conference, all the present groups drafted a letter to other international human rights groups and governments, calling on them to promptly investigate China’s labour camps and prisons where Falun Gong practitioners and prisons of conscience without consent are being imprisoned and also to investigate the CCP’s crimes of removing organs from the imprisoned. The letter pleaded that the international community should not ignore the crimes of the CCP.
