Surrounded by mountains, Inverness is a small industrial town in northern Scotland. Many tourists are attracted to its beautiful scenic spots.
As June 24th was the date for a big commodity fair, many people came to Inverness from over 100 miles away. That day, Falun Gong practitioners in Scotland held various activities to explain the facts about Falun Gong, expose the Chinese Communist regime’s genocidal persecution of Falun Gong and call on the general public to pay attention to the situation so as to help put an end to the Chinese regime’s atrocities of harvesting and selling organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
At a booth, practitioners displayed posters and photos depicting the trade in harvested organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour camps and the recently exposed secret concentration camps. There were also posters explaining the cruel torture against Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour camps in China. Some practitioners gave out flyers and talked to passers-by, while others demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises peacefully. Some passers-by stopped to learn the exercises on the spot. After learning the facts about Falun Gong, many people signed the petition to support practitioners.

At first some youngsters mocked the practitioners from a distance, but after they approached the display booth and read the posters exposing the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, they signed the petition.

Some passers-by said to practitioners, “We thought that after China is getting richer, its human rights situation would be improved, but disappointingly, the brutal atrocities still take place today.” Other said, “Things like harvesting organs from living humans is intolerable. Thank you for telling us that.” Still others expressed that they welcomed practitioners to hold this kind of activity in Inverness again, so as to help people truly realise China’s human right situation.
A journalist from a local newspaper came to cover the event and took many pictures of the activities, saying that he would write a special report to let people in Scotland know the real picture of China’s human right situation.
