Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners in Kastroma Introduce Falun Dafa and Expose the Persecution Near the Volga River

Local Falun Gong practitioners recently spent a day by the Volga River in the city of Kastroma. Some practitioners taught people how to make paper lotus flowers and chatted to them about the practice and the situation in China. They also erected posters and displays exposing the persecution, and the live organ harvesting in particular. Some practitioners gave out leaflets, and others demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises.

The activity was held on July 3rd, 2006. This was the first time that the Kastroma practitioners took to the street to let people know about the persecution in China. Although they didn’t have much experience, the results were still very good. Many people signed the petition to express their support. Some young people were laughing at the beginning, but after they heard about the persecution that is happening in China, they became serious and signed their names to condemn it. They also asked if they could do anything to help. A group of young kids, around 10 years old, listened carefully to the practitioners' explanations and then also signed their names.

Many tourists from a cruise ship accepted the leaflets from the practitioners, and after they visited the town, many of them came back to learn how to make paper lotus flowers and signed the petition too.
