In the First Women’s Labour Camp in Shandong Province, located in Jiangshuiquan, Jinan City, a Dafa practitioner was forced to give up practising. After being "transformed1", she was able to contact other practitioners who had refused to be transformed. In the process, she was helped by those firm Dafa practitioners and saw her mistakes. She gathered up her courage to write a solemn declaration to nullify what she said and wrote against Dafa. Being unable to contact people outside the camp, she could not have her declaration published on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, so she handed it to a camp warden.
The declaration went roughly like this: "Before practising Falun Gong, I suffered from asthma, which caused me to have severe shortness of breath. I spent more than 5,000 yuan2 per year treating my disease. For this reason, everyone in my family suffered financial difficulties. After being fortunate enough to learn Falun Gong, my disease was cured within 20 days. In the countryside, if a doctor cured your disease, you would thank him. Teacher cured my disease but I cursed him instead. I lied to you and I deceived you. Now, I am telling you the truth: "Falun Dafa is good," "Falun Dafa is the righteous Law," and I will firmly practise Dafa to the end of my life. I solemnly declare that everything that I wrote against Dafa is invalid."
A warden brought a box of sealing wax to her and asked for her fingerprint. She pushed away the box and bit her finger in order to make it bleed. She then used the blood from her finger to make a fingerprint with her blood, showing that her heart was firm in Dafa.
Upon hearing this, we were moved to tears. How simple and sincere was this practitioner’s declaration! Because of this sincere declaration, the labour camp cruelly tortured this practitioner by locking her in a "small cell" and depriving her of sleep for 13 days. The cell was no more than one metre wide and four to five meters long. Its door faced south. The cell never received any sunlight and was unheated. The cell was so cold that one could suffer frostbite in the feet despite wearing very thick cotton shoes, and one would need to wear three winter coats to stay even somewhat warm. One had to defecate and urinate in the cell. This caused the air inside the cell to be extremely filthy and foul. This practitioner was tortured in the cell for 13 days during the coldest part of winter. The guards refused to let her sit down on a chair or go to sleep. Her feet became seriously frostbitten and swelled up so much that she could not wear shoes. She was unable to walk without holding onto the wall for support. She said that her suffering from frostbite was like being cut by knives, with the pain penetrating into one’s heart.
The Chinese Communist Party’s labour camps treat many practitioners like this. In order to pursue a high rate of "transformation," which would bring money and promotion to them, the wardens torture Dafa practitioners using such cruel methods. We hope that everyone will do their best to help end this persecution.
