Practitioner Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison and his Wife Recently Arrested

Falun Dafa practitioner Guo Peijun from Yanji City, Jilin Province was sentenced to seven years in prison and is currently detained in Tiebei Prison. His wife Yu Jing was arrested again on July 12th.

Falun Dafa practitioners Guo Peijun and his wife Yu Jing practise Falun Dafa and strive to be better people according to the requirements of Falun Dafa. Since the persecution began in 1999, local police officers have repeatedly pressured them to give up their beliefs in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.

In 2001, the couple was arrested. Guo Peijun and some other Falun Dafa practitioners refused to cooperate with the commands of the authorities, so police officers took turns beating them, and grabbing benches and wooden clubs to hit the head and face of Guo Peijun. Immediately, he started bleeding, and his skin was torn, with the flesh opened up. Later, while he was washing his clothes, after four rinses, the water was still red from the blood, and the clothes could not be cleaned any more.

The police also refused to tell Guo’s family of his whereabouts with the excuse that the case was very serious, and therefore Guo Peijun did not have any normal rights during the detention. He did not even have blankets. In the cold late fall, he had only a piece of plastic membrane to cover himself at night for a month.

Because Guo Peijun and his wife were both arrested at the same time, his elderly parents could not bear the impact of this incident and became ill, leaving his young daughter by herself at home.

After a year, because he refused to give up his belief in Falun Dafa, Guo Peijun was secretly sentenced to seven years in prison. Without notifying his family, the authorities sent him to the Jilin Province Prison. In 2005, he was sent to the Tiebei Prison in Changchun City, where he is still detained.

Guo Peijun was previously very healthy but now his health has severely deteriorated. His wife Yu Jing was also frequently persecuted because she persisted in her belief in Falun Dafa. During the seven years of persecution, she was arrested three times with all kinds of excuses from the police. On July 12th, 2002, when Yu Jing was at work, she was taken to the city’s police department by three policemen from the National Security Team of the Yanji City Police Department. One of them was policeman Wu.

All of the Falun Dafa practitioners from the Yanbian Area have suffered from brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.
