On the evening of November 1st, a “Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance” Art Exhibition lasting twenty two days opened in Athens, the capital of Greece. The Art Exhibition was jointly held by the Falun Dafa Art Exhibition Preparatory Committee and the Greek Falun Dafa Association. Forty works by artists, who are Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world, were exhibited in a city centre Art Gallery and they attracted many visitors.
"Red Wall" is a representative work executed by Mr. Zhang in 2003. He told a reporter, “Red Wall" is actually the one that epitomises what I have seen and experienced in China. Not only has the CCP used prisons as places for locking up people but it has turned the whole of China into one big prison as well”. Later, the reporter continued the interviewed with Mr. Zhang Kunlun alone.
"Thinking", a bimonthly magazine with a circulation of 35,000 copies in Greece, carried a report entitled “Crimes on Canvas” writing about the exhibition and the CCP authorities persecuting Falun Gong practitioners by using torture. The reporter advised the readers that he had never heard about such a thing in Greece before. What pleased him most was that many newsmen and friends of his are hoping to learn further about Falun Gong.”
On behalf of the Falun Dafa Association in Greece, Mr. Georgia, one of exhibition organisers described to the reporter his intention of preparing for the exhibition. He said, “The subject of Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance Art Exhibition is to tell people in Greece about the cruel persecution happening right now in China. It has exposed the CCP lies and propaganda. The persecution should not be happening nowadays. Greece is a cradle of western arts. People here also went through an autocratic rule as well. Therefore, it is easy for them to understand such sufferings from these art works. Another aspect of it is to show people in Greece the goodness of cultivating Falun Dafa.
“Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance Art Exhibitions” have been held in over seventy countries in Europe.
