Mr. Wang Yushun was in his 60s, a retired employee of Anyang City Beer Company in Henan Province. He lived in Anyang City. Mr. Wang started practising Falun Gong in 1996. He was healthy, nice, and honest and had volunteered to coordinate the practice site in the Shuguang subdivision. Mr. Wang persisted in his faith after the persecution started in 1999. He went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was arrested and imprisoned at a city detention centre. Mr. Wang was monitored, harassed, and threatened by 610 Office1 agents for a long period of time. He was also forced to attend brainwashing sessions and was interviewed for TV against his will. The long term persecution and abuses greatly damaged his physical and mental health. In August 2006, he suffered from severe illness at home and died two days later.

Ms. Zhao Xufen, 69, lived in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. Ms. Zhao started practising Dafa in 1996. Many of the illnesses she suffered from before disappeared. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, the residential committee staff and police often broke into her home and harassed her, sometimes in the middle of the night. Ms. Zhao appealed for Dafa and was arrested at Tiananmen Square and later imprisoned at a detention centre. After being released, local police station officials imprisoned her many times, so she chose to live away from home to avoid persecution. Ms. Zhao suffered both physically and mentally due to the persecution and passed away on February 4th, 2006.

Ms. Wang Yulan, who was in her 70s, lived in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. She suffered from many illnesses before practising Dafa and had practised many other qigong systems, but none had cured her. One night in 1997, she had a dream and she studied Falun Dafa after that. Her illnesses disappeared shortly after beginning Dafa practice. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, the female Chinese Communist Party committee head with the surname of Ye in the residential committee often harassed and threatened Ms. Wang, who suffered great physical and mental trauma. Due to the long-term abuse, Ms. Wang Yulan's old diseases returned, and she died on April 30th, 2004.

Ms. Xu Yue'e, who was in her 70s, lived in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Ms. Xu began to practise Falun Dafa in 1998. Since the onset of the persecution in 1999, Ms. Xu explained the facts about Falun Dafa to people but was reported. She was imprisoned twice. Ms. Xu insisted on exposing the persecution to people around her, even in the detention centre, and she was soon released. After returning home, persons in the local police station and from the residential committee often harassed, threatened, and monitored Ms. Xu, which pressured her greatly. Ms. Xu's old diseases recurred and she passed away in April 2006.

Ms. Fu Qingping, 69, lived in Wuhan City. Ms. Fu was a steadfast Dafa practitioner. She was imprisoned at the infamous Taojialing Brainwashing Centre many times for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. After returning home, agents from the local police station and from the residential committee often harassed, threatened, and monitored Ms. Fu over a long period of time. Ms. Fu's two sons are both police officers. They believed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) lies and stopped Ms. Fu from contacting fellow practitioners. Ms. Fu suffered greatly. Her old illnesses returned and she lost the ability to take care of herself. Ms. Fu died on October 19th, 2006.
