Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Peng Chengrong, age 65, from Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province was frequently persecuted since July 20th, 1999. In January 2000 she was arrested by the police in Yumen District, Yanbian County, Panzhihua City while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution, and detained for six months. In July 2001, she was again jailed for a week for explaining the facts about Falun Dafa to people. Since then, local police and village government agents harassed her, forcing her to leave home and wander about. During this period both her physical and mental health became seriously damaged. She passed away on November 30th, 2006.

Ms. Peng Xiuling, 37, employed by Chongqing Chuandong Drilling and Testing Company, was forced to retire with "buyout pay" because she was practising Falun Gong. At the end of 2000, while passing out leaflets exposing the persecution, she was arrested and later sentenced to Maojiashan Labour Camp in Chongqing for further persecution. On May 13th, 2001, World Falun Dafa Day, practitioners--including Peng Xiuling--who were detained in the labour camp held out banners reading: "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is righteous." As a result, they were handcuffed and hung up for seven days. Her husband divorced her during her labour-camp sentence. She was released at the beginning of 2003. After leaving the labour camp, she went to work for a supermarket, which discharged her shortly thereafter because the police frequently disturbed her at work. She also found a job selling newspapers, but the position didn’t last long because she was suspected of distributing leaflets. Now she is dead for some unknown reasons; some one said that she was killed by the government officials, although this still remains unknown.

Ms. Huang Xuezhi of Liaoning Province was retired from the Dalian Wool Dress Making Factory. She started practising Falun Gong in 1994 and after that all her sicknesses disappeared. She was arrested in September 1999 by policeman Nie Binglun and imprisoned in Dalian City Detention Centre for 15 days for practising Falun Dafa, and then was transferred to Dalian City Narcotic Rehabilitation Centre for another month. In February 2001, while passing out leaflets exposing the persecution, she was again arrested by Ganjingzi Station police and sent to Dalian Labour Camp for a year. After her release, she was constantly harassed by community agents and policemen without a single day of rest. On May 10th, 2003 she suffered a stroke, and on November 8th, 2006 she passed away.

Ms. Chen Lanlan of Mayang County, Hunan Province, age 67, started practising Falun Dafa in 1998. Prior to becoming a Dafa practitioner, she had lots of heath problems, but after attaining Dafa, her physical problems all disappeared. In August 2000, while she was in Beijing appealing for justice, she was arrested, taken back home, and money was extorted from her. Since then, she was constantly harassed by Communist Party members. She died in May 2006.

Ms. Li Yuqin, 66, from Northeastern China, had been monitored by local police for a long time. She went to Beijing on April 25th, 1999 to appeal for Falun Dafa.. Her daughter went to Beijing too and was then discharged from work. Their residence was twice ransacked, and lots of Dafa books and materials were taken away. Because of the continuous threats, intimidation, and disturbance, and unbearable hurt both physically and mentally, Ms. Li Yuqin passed away in May 2002.

Ms. Lou Ciying from Shanghsi, 67, had tuberculosis and other physical problems. After practising Falun Gong, however, all her physical problems were gone. Since the persecution started in 1999, she stopped practising causing her old illnesses to relapse and she subsequently died.
