On December 23rd, 2006, before Christmas, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity near the Saint-Petersburg State University in Island Vasil’evskiy to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

In addition to Russian students, many overseas students study at the university, including many Chinese students. Some Chinese students read the exhibition boards with interest and accepted leaflets happily. Some even quit the CCP there and then.

After earnestly reading a pamphlet, a Chinese student told the practitioners, “It’s lucky that I have never joined any CCP organisations, otherwise I would have to declare to quit from them today.” He waved his hands to say goodbye to the practitioners when leaving.

Lots of Russians told the practitioners that they understand the Communist Party’s evil very well, because the Russian people had been deeply persecuted by it. They condemned in droves the crimes of the CCP, which persecutes the good people, as well as tramples human rights. They also signed to support the Falun Gong petition against the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners in St. Petersburg have persevered with talking to local people about the persecution on the street for several years.
