New Crimes Committed by the 610 Office of Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province

Practitioner Ms. He Xueping was arrested on November 1st, 2006. On November 20th, 2006 she was sentenced to forced labour for one year. She is being currently being detained and tortured in the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaoyuan from the Dou District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, has been missing since December 20th, 2006. It was later learned that the 610 Office¹ arrested her and is detaining her in the Dou District Detention Centre. She is the second practitioner who has been arrested in November 2006 from the Dou District and she is currently being detained in the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp.

Ms. Wang was arrested before on December 14th, 2000, and detained for nine days. On February 5th, 2001, she was detained in a brainwashing class held in the Dou District. On March 19th she was taken to the Dou District Detention Centre. On April 26th she was sentenced to forced labour for one year and detained in the Sanshui Forced Labour Camp. On February 10th officials from the 610 Office, along with local police, arrested her again and detained her in the Mingfu Brainwashing Centre of Zhuhai City for over two years. During this detention police officers tortured her by giving her unknown drugs.

Currently, there are at least twenty practitioners from the Dou District detained in forced labour camps or brainwashing centres. Since February 2006, more than five practitioners have been detained.
