On November 17th, 2006, the Czech people rallied in the Czech capital and marched to Prague Castle in protest against organ harvesting atrocities in China.
Falun Gong practitioners joined the march to protest against organ harvesting in China, particularly the 2006 revelations that thousands of living Falun Gong practitioners have had their organs harvested and their bodies cremated on orders from the Chinese Communist Party. A press conference was held to accompany the march. The following is a letter of support from Leo Zidek and Dr. Nadezda Kavalirova Directors of the Confederation of Political Prisoners Czech Republic.
According to reports and testimonies in domestic and foreign media, we often learn about the horrible atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party, which persecute followers of Falun Gong spiritual movement since 1999. In 2001 in Sujiatun, Shenyang city, it has allegedly established a concentration camp, where doctors harvest human organs from living bodies of prisoners of conscience and sell them to medical facilities. There are several dozens of such camps in China.
We urge you, not to seek solely economic and political goals during your visits to China but to look also at the state of human rights, religious freedom and democracy. If your Chinese partners say your comments are lies then demand freedom to visit at will all those places, where those crimes are committed.
With regards,
Leo Zídek, chair of CPP CZ.
MUDr. Nadezda Kavalirova, chair of CPP CZ.
