Falun Dafa practitioners are brutally persecuted in the Xishanping Forced Labour Camp in Beibei District, Chongqing City. Every practitioner imprisoned there that is steadfast in their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and persists in practising Falun Dafa suffers from miserable torture. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Gu Xianglin from Qijiang County, Chongqing City was one of them. Mr. Gu was imprisoned in the third strictly-monitored group of the Second Section, Seventh Ward.

In December 2005, the weather at Xishanping was already very cold. Drug addict inmates at the labour camp (the so-called "disciplinary assistants") Fu Yaqiang (male) and He Shaolun (male) used a water gourd to scoop up tap water, and poured it over Mr. Gu's head over and over again, with the excuse that Mr. Gu did not listen to their words and frequently sat with his eyes closed.

In March 2006, when drug addict Hu Fei (male) was on his night shift, he scooped up urine from the chamberpot in the toilet and poured the urine into Mr. Gu's mouth while he was sleeping and snoring.

In August 2006, "disciplinary assistants" Huang Xiaodong (male) and other inmates, in full view of others, pressed Mr. Gu's head down into a chamberpot containing almost a full barrel of tap water to suffocate him in the toilet of the Second Section, Seventh Ward, with the excuse that Mr. Gu was not obedient.

By the time Mr. Gu was released from the labour camp, he had become extremely thin. One of the primary reasons is that he had gone on hunger strikes many times in the previous fifteen months to protest the persecution. These hunger strikes lasted from one day to three days each time.

On the morning of September 5th, 2006, when Mr. Gu Xianglin was released from the third strictly-monitored group, the local government personnel and police, as well as State Security agents, came and took him away.
