Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yuli lived in Chaoyang District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. She suffered from bladder and bowel incontinence due to being tortured with electric batons in the Heizuizi Labour Camp. Ms. Liu died in July 2006 as a result of long-term persecution, at age 67.

Liu Yuli went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong on April 25th, 1999, together with fellow practitioners. They were detained in Siping City by policemen from Changchun City. After the persecution started on July 20th, 1999, Ms. Liu Yuli went to Beijing to appeal again. In 2000, she was arrested when practising the exercises in the Dizhi Palace Square, and she was sentenced to two years of forced labour.

Ms. Liu Yuli refused to give up her faith in Falun Dafa. Prison guards shocked her with electric batons, causing her to become incontinent. In May 2000, the Heizuizi Labour Camp held a "Firm Believers Attack," and all steadfast practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Dafa were taken to the Sixth Ward to be tortured. Ms. Liu Yuli was in her 60s, but she still was shocked with electric batons every day. There were huge blisters on her thighs as result of the torture. The guards would shock her as soon as she spoke her mind. Ms. Liu had bloody blisters all over her body for a long time.

After one year of forced labour, Liu Yuli was released on medical bail due to her health being damaged severely. Upon returning home, policemen from the Yihe Street Station often came to her home to harass her, causing her family to interfere with her cultivation. Ms. Liu died in the middle of July 2006.
