Why My Daughter and Son-in-Law Cannot Return Home for New Years

Chinese New Year season has arrived. Every home is having a big family reunion, but I, an eighty year-old man, long to see my daughter and son-in-law at home.

I have always lived with my daughter and son-in-law. They are both nice people who treat me very well and treated our neighbours very kindly as well. They were always helpful to our neighbours when they had difficulties. They always tidied up our neighbourhood streets and were good people who followed the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.

I do not know why, but policemen have constantly come to harass them since November 26th, 2006, and they tried to arrest them many times. On one occasion, Political Security Office Head Zhang Aimin (male) of the Fusong County Police Department ransacked our home with 7-8 policemen. They left the place in disarray, and afterwards could not find my daughter and son-in-law. I was so shocked by their thug-like behaviour that I collapsed on the bed. I could not speak, for I was busy catching my breath. They absolutely did not care if my life was in danger. My daughter and son-in-law were forced to leave home to avoid being arrested, and they still have not dared to return.

My son-in-law is a retired employee of the County Water Resource Station. His retirement salary has stopped coming. Our entire family relies on his salary to survive.

We call on kind-hearted people to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
