Japan: NTDTV Spectacular Nears, Attracting Media Attention

The Divine Performing Arts Troupe will present two performances on March 10th, 2007 at its first leg of its international tour performances in Japan ---Amagasaki City, Kansai. After that, the troupe will go to the capital, Tokyo, and present performance at its second leg in Japan--Omiya Sonic City. The troupe will bring pure Chinese culture to the Japanese audience.

Japan’s second largest newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reported on the Spectacular before the performance. The report said that the spectacular is a pageant of dance performances displaying noble traditional Tang Dynasty costumes, together with choreography and exquisite stage design, which will bring an unexpected elegance to the audience.

Japanese newspaper Sankei Shimbun, reported on the unveiling of the touring troupe on January 3rd at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, Canada, and the subsequent events in Los Angeles, such as the Hollywood. The report further stated that the tour will last until the end of April and display magnificent dance performances to 29 cities around the world. Currently the troupe has completed 43 performances in nearly 20 areas, including Europe and the United States. More than 100,000 viewers went to see the Spectacular. The report introduced that the troupe will arrive in Japan on March 10th for four performances. The report also introduced readers on how to buy tickets.

Japanese newspaper Saitama News, introduced the upcoming performances, saying that this is the world’s largest Chinese concert that will tour 29 cities and be appreciated by over 200,000 people. From seven performances in five cities at the inaugural NTDTV Global Gala four years ago, to this year's nearly 80 performances in 29 cities, the audience is expected to reach 150,000 to 200,000 people.

The report said that a total of more than 200 artists performing with gorgeous costumes, novel and simple traditional music, stage design and background coming from the ancient Chinese murals, fine clothes, dance performances originated from legends in the history of China. China's multi-cultural dance performances such as the Manchu dance, Mongolian dance, and traditional Tibetan dance shows, displayed the meaning and divine spirit of a truly original Chinese divine-inspired culture that the Chinese Communist Party has attempted to destroy, without success, during the Cultural Revolution.
