Czech Falun Dafa practitioners organized a week-long tour around the cities of central Moravia so that the people there could learn more about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China. The persecution has already lasted 8 years and over 3,000 practitioners have had their lives taken by the Chinese communist regime.
After visiting Přerov and Kroměříž on Monday and Tuesday, on Wednesday March 21st practitioners visited the city of Olomouc. They held an activity to inform the public about the history of Falun Gong including how the practice was publicly spread in 1992 and quickly became very popular in China with 100 million practitioners by the late 90s. The practitioners also told people about the health benefits they have received from practising Falun Gong.

As well as talking about the practice of Falun Gong, the practitioners told people about the 8 years of persecution inflicted on the practice by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They talked about the CCP’s atrocities of harvesting organs from healthy Falun Gong practitioners and how evidence of this vile crime was documented in a report by independent Canadian investigators human rights lawyer David Matas and former Canadian Secretary of State and MP David Kilgour.
Reactions of Olomouc inhabitants were positive and supportive. One elderly lady said, “I cannot understand why people do such things to other people. I don’t know this could be happening in today’s world.” She said she wanted to learn to practise Falun Gong.

Many people signed the petition calling for an immediate end to the harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in China. During the day, many people took turns in signing it and there were people of all ages and social backgrounds. A group of students stopped by and when they saw exhibited pictures of tortured practitioners, all of them signed their names on the petition. In Olomouc, almost 200 people signed the petition.
