Mr. Wu Guangyuan was a Falun Gong practitioner from Jiahe Village in Xinbin County, Fushun City. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Wu was arrested and detained by police officers Zhang Rongqing and Cao Sixin from the Yongling Police Station. Later on, he was forced to attend a brainwashing session held at Fushun City Labour Camp.
In 2000, police officers Guo Huawei and Cao Sixin sent Mr. Wu to a forced labour camp. Following his release he made a living as a tricycle driver, transporting people. Mr. Wu was steadfast in his belief in Falun Dafa and continued to inform people about the true nature of Falun Gong. He was once again sentenced to forced labour in July 2004. Police officers Guo Huawei and Cao Sixin pronounced the sentence.
In June 2006 Wu Guangyuan walked out of the Fushun Labour Camp. But a few months later, on August 28th, 2006, he was again arrested by police officers Guo Huawei and Cao Sixin and sent to the Fushun City Luotaishan Brainwashing Centre.
Mr. Wu carried on a three-day hunger strike to protest the persecution. He developed oedema after being released from the brainwashing centre, and was diagnosed has having uraemia. Wu Guangyuan died in March 2007.
