On May 1st, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in the Czech Republic participated in a gathering with the theme “A May Day without the Communist Party” at Letná Park in Prague. Practitioners enacted scenes of torture and organ harvesting to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Gong. About ten thousand people took part in this event.

Some spectators’ reactions to the live organ harvesting simulation in the “non-freedom island” area went through dramatic changes. Initially some seemed puzzled and lost. Later, people listened to practitioners explaining what was happening and read the distributed leaflets. Finally, many took information about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and signed practitioners' petition to protest against persecution and organ harvesting.

In front of the tent of the Czech Falun Gong Association, practitioners demonstrated various torture methods used by the CCP to persecute Falun Gong. A lady watched attentively. The scene deeply moved her. With a painful expression, she said to practitioners, “During the (Czech) Communist era, I was also locked up in jail. But I was not put through this kind of torture.”

A middle-aged man asked practitioners for a leaflet with a sigh “Give me a leaflet. I know about the CCP persecution of Falun Gong, it is most brutal.”

The event was hosted by the Federation of Political Prisoners in the Czech Republic and an organisation called “Fighting the Communist Party with T-shirts”. Its aim was to warn people about the detriment of Communist regimes while bringing present Communist crimes in China, Cuba and Korea to public attention.
