Ms. Fu Guiju from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province Died from Force-Feeding in a Detention Centre

On June 18th, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Fu Guiju from Zhangjiakou City died due to being force-fed in the Shisanli Detention Centre in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

On the evening of May 12th, 2007, Qiaoxi District State Security agent Zhong Senlin and policemen from the Xinhua Street Station and Mingdenan Street Station arrested 12 Falun Dafa practitioners, including Ms. Fu Guiju. Most of the practitioners are elderly.

Ms. Fu Guiju went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was released when she was close to death.

On June 4th, the police took Ms. Fu Guiju and another practitioner, Ms. Qin Yueling, into custody again. The women had not fully recovered because they had just recently been released. These two practitioners were detained in the Shisanli Detention Centre. The police confiscated Ms. Qin Yueling's computer among other personal items.

Only ten days later, on June 14th, the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate issued an "arrest" warrant for several practitioners who were already in custody, including Ms. Fu Guiju, Ms. Qin Yueling, and Ms. Cheng Xiu'e. Plans were to severely sentence them.

On June 18th, 2007, Ms. Fu Guiju died from force-feeding in the Shisanli Detention Centre.

Ms. Fu Guiju was mistreated multiple times because she firmly cultivated Falun Dafa. At 11:00 p.m. on May 10th, 2000, she and her husband (also a practitioner) were both forcibly taken to the Xinhua Street Neighbourhood Administration and interrogated overnight by Chairperson Liu Xiaoyan (female), among others. They were taken to the Xinhua Street Police Department the next morning, then transferred to the custody of the Dajingmen Police Station.

On May 22nd, 2002, Mingdenan Neighbourhood Administration Chair Meng Yanping (female) said to Ms. Fu Guiju, who was detained in the Shuimugong Brainwashing Centre, "If you don't go anywhere [to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa], I guarantee you will be fine." She and Tang Liping, a Neighbourhood Administration employee, said to Ms. Fu's family, "If you watch Fu Guiji closely, the police will not arrest her." However, on September 26th, 2002, it was Meng Yanping and Tang Liping who took Ms. Fu Guiju to a brainwashing centre and detained her until October 1st, 2002. The Chinese Communist Party Qiaoxi District Political and Judiciary Committee planned this brainwashing attempt.

At 9:00 p.m. on October 13th, 2002, police from the Qiaoxi District ordered the Mingdenan Neighbourhood Administration to arrange for Ms. Fu Guiju's neighbours to closely monitor her activities. On October 16th, 2002, police officer Wu Jianguo (male) and others from the Qiaoxi District Department took Ms. Fu Guiju's child out of school and brought the youth to the police department. They searched the child's backpack for a house key, then opened Ms. Fu's house door in collaboration with Neighbourhood Administrators Meng Yanping and Tang Liping, and ransacked her home.
