Germany: Hamburg Practitioners' Activity to Support the Twenty Million Withdrawals from the CCP

Hamburg practitioners organised an information day in support of the twenty million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The booth was at a location close to the central train station where there were many passersby.

Despite the cloudy weather, there were a number of Hamburg residents on their way to the shops. Shortly after arriving, we played a recording exposing the organised organ harvesting of live Falun Gong practitioners, the hundreds of concentration and labour camps and the persecution of Falun Gong and other groups by the communist regime.

The tape was on for about two minutes when we suddenly were faced with a downpour. It was pouring rain and it turned quite cold. Some of the practitioners ran for cover under the roof of the pavilion, while others continued to distribute flyers while holding an umbrella. Barely anyone could be seen on the streets.

I noticed that although we were all were protected by the pavilion, none of us showed any thought of canceling the information day. The rain disappeared as fast as it had come. The sun appeared and with it the pedestrians. They could not be stopped by the rain and took our materials.

A man from Dortmund commented on the theme of the persecution of believers and different-minded people, “I know about it. I come from the former East Germany. The same happened in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) under the communist regime.”

Although Hamburg is a town with a million inhabitants, one always meets up with acquaintances, people who seem to appear at all our events. They are silent, and still their presence can be felt. What predestined relationship do these people have? One appeared to be bewildered and moved slowly around the pavilion, while another talked as usual for a long time with one of our practitioners.

In retrospect, I recognise my lack of understanding of these people and that I lacked also tolerance. Therefore, this day was not only for clarification of the criminal activities by the CCP, but also helped my cultivation in as much as it gave me an increased understanding as to how to deal with people.
