Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Shuxiang, in his 70s, lived in Song County, under Loyang City jurisdiction, Henan Province. He went out at around 5 p.m. on April 16th, 2007, to distribute leaflets exposing the persecution. He never returned home. At around 5 p.m. on April 17th, the local police asked his family to identify his body, which had been found on a farm road on the lower level of a public road to Deting Township, near Qiaojia Village.

Before Mr. Li's family rushed to the scene, the police had the funeral home conduct an autopsy on the body, and they told his family he died from falling from the upper level to the lower level of the road. Police said he was wounded mainly on his left side. Three of his ribs were fractured, piercing his lung. There was blood inside his belly and bladder. His left arm and leg were both fractured. His head was swollen. However, his watch and torch were both fine.

Before cremating the body, the family changed Li's clothes and they found many coin-sized bruises on his back. His left shoulder had a palm-sized bruise.

Local folks said the upper level of the road is only 3-4 metres higher than the lower level, and it was constructed by some big (10 feet in diameter) cement rings. No one had died before from falling. Mr. Li had a torch, and the road is very wide; how could he have fallen? Why was his torch in good condition, and where did the bruises come from?

Some villagers saw Mr. Li being followed when passing out Falun Gong materials. There was a police station in the village where he was followed.

Police said he fell to the lower level of the road. People are talking about his death being unexplainable, but no one can do anything about it.

Police officers Wang Yimin, Wang Songfeng, and more than a dozen others were at the scene. The forensics doctor from Loyang City participated in the autopsy.
