Two Practitioners Lose Their Youth Due to Torture

These are photographs of two practitioners from Qing'an County, Heilongjiang Province. The photographs were taken prior to the persecution. One is 33-year-old Mr. Lin Shusen, and the other is 32-year-old Ms. Zhou Qiaohang. Mr. Lin Shusen was sentenced to five years of imprisonment by the Chinese Communist Party. He was imprisoned at the Beijing Qianjin Prison, and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Ms. Zhou Qiaohang was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment and is now in the Women's Prison of Heilongjiang Province.

Looking at these pictures, they look so young and bright. However, because they remain resolute in their belief in Falun Dafa, they were arrested and condemned to long term torture in the hellish conditions of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) prisons.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Lin Shusen

Mr. Lin Shusen, 33 years old, started practising Falun Dafa while attending university. After graduation, he stayed in Beijing to work. He was sentenced twice and was tortured to the point of a mental collapse. At the end of April 2005, Mr. Lin Shusen was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. He has been imprisoned at Beijing Qianjin Prison ever since. He suffered inhuman torture for a long period of time, causing him to suffer renal failure, liver failure, and osteoporosis. His body is extremely weak, and he is still under strict monitoring. For nearly a half year, his family members have not received any telephone calls or correspondence from Mr. Lin Shusen.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhou Qiaohang

Ms. Zhou Qiaohang, 32 years old, is a graduate student from Harbin Industrial University. She is intelligent and wise and has outstanding eloquence and literary talents. In November 2002, Ms. Zhou Qiaohang was arrested by the Harbin Police Department. At a secret location, the police used all means, including electric shocks, tiger bench (see illustration on http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html), sleep deprivation, and so on, to torture Ms. Zhou Qiaohang in attempts to extort so-called "evidence." Ms. Zhou Qiaohang defended her own conscience and protected the safety of other people while facing the violence. In November 2002 Ms. Zhou Qiaohang was sentenced to ten years imprisonment. She has been imprisoned at the Women's Prison of Heilongjiang Province ever since.
