At around 10:30 a.m. on August 21st, 2007, seven or eight Chinese people in their 20's emerged from the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand and attacked a female Falun Gong practitioner while she was holding a peaceful protest.
The practitioner, Ms. Zhang, has been going to the front of the Embassy every day to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s eight-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong and to peacefully protest the CCP's atrocities. Then on August 21st, the Chinese assailants came running out of the Embassy. They cursed Ms. Zhang, pulled the Falun Dafa truth-clarification banners from the wall and trampled them. They pushed Ms. Zhang, who stepped forward to advise them to stop. One man even grabbed Ms. Zhang's coat collar. Later the assailants fled in a waiting van. Before leaving, they kicked gravel on the ground toward Ms. Zhang. Ms. Zhang clarified the facts, telling them that the destruction of the CCP is imminent and that they should not sacrifice themselves for the CCP.
Wellington police are investigating this incident.
