The Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance International Art Exhibition officially opened in the capital of Bulgaria on the 24th of August 2007. About thirty oil paintings by Chinese artists, some of whom had been subjected to violence and persecution in Chinese labour camps and prisons because they practise Falun Gong, can be seen for two weeks in the Club Gallery in the subway of the Ministerial Council.

Many doctors, engineers, painters and journalists from various national media came to the opening ceremony. One woman came one day before the start of the exhibition to see the paintings, while they were lined up on the walls. After seeing the art of Falun Gong, she was so impressed that she sat for two hours handwriting information about every painting and cried. She said she could feel very strong energy coming from the paintings and asked practitioners if these paintings had healing effects.

Many Bulgarian people enjoyed the paintings and were touched by their message

All who saw the exhibition shared the same feelings: they were strongly impressed by the beautiful art and condemned the persecution. Many people signed the petition calling for end to the persecution in China and thanked the practitioners for having the courage to organise such a remarkable exhibition. Many people said they would recommend it to their friends and colleagues and that they were very happy to see the paintings.

The mainstream information agencies Focus, BGNES and Bulfoto published information and took pictures from the event. The free culture guide of Sofia also publicised the exhibition in its weekly issue.
