Chuanying District Court in Jilin City Sentenced Five Practitioners after They Suffered Brutal Torture

Officials from the Chuanying District Court in Jilin City, Jilin Province sentenced Falun Gong practitioners Zhao Guoxing, Liu Yuhe, Zhao Yingjie, Mu Chunhong, and Wang Liqiu on September 11th, 2007 to long prison terms. Zhao Guoxing was sentenced to ten years. Liu Yuhe was sentenced to eight years. Zhao Yingjie was sentenced to six years. Mu Chunhong was sentenced to five years. Wang Liqiu was sentenced to three years. All five practitioners are presently working on appeals to the court.

Agents in the Jilin City Police Department used the following methods to torture these practitioners: 1) Compressing the practitioners' legs with spiral steel bars (used to construct buildings). 2) Force-feeding them spicy mustard oil. 3) Handcuffing practitioners with their arms behind their back and brutally beating them. 4) Sexually assaulting a female practitioner by penetrating her with a wooden stick. 5) Using plastic implements to cover practitioners' faces so they could not breathe. 6) Force-feeding them with huge amounts of salt water.

The five practitioners were ruthlessly abused and mentally tormented. They are very weak now. We hope the international community will give this incident wide exposure and support the immediate and unconditional release of these five practitioners.
