From September 27th to 28th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in South Africa took part in an exhibition held in Richard's Bay. They introduced Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong), as a cultivation method that benefits people both physically and mentally.
Richard's Bay is a seaport city, about 200 km north of Durban. There is a large scale comprehensive exhibition at the end of September every year. People in surrounding cities and towns attend each year.
When the practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, many local people were attracted by the peaceful exercises and stopped to watch. The practitioners introduced them to Falun Dafa's cultivation principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." They also explained to people that the five sets of exercises are easy to learn and free of charge. Moreover, Falun Dafa has been spread to 80 countries and regions around the world. Many people showed interest in the exercises and wanted to learn. The practitioners also told people that in China, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutally persecutes practitioners who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The people who learned about the brutal persecution were shocked and indignant at the CCP's atrocities.
