A Chinese Communist Party Committee Secretary for a Research Institutes Quits His Party Membership

One day while I was waiting for bus, a gentleman asked me, "Which bus should I take to the Yuzhong District?" I told him I was going to the Yuzhong District so he could tag along with me. At that moment, I had the attachment of fear and hesitated in talking to him about Falun Gong. After a while he proposed, "Shall we take a taxi?" I still had the attachment of fear and replied, "Please go ahead and take a cab. I will wait for the bus." He left in a cab and I rode the bus.

Halfway to my destination, out of the blue the same gentleman came aboard my bus and sat down beside me. I asked myself, "Why did I happen to see this gentleman twice in the same day? This can't be accidental. I must take this opportumity to give him a chance to learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution." I wondered how I should broach the subject. I asked him where he worked and he told me that he had graduated from Chongqing City University in 1969. Now he is working as the director and committee secretary of a coastal research institute for the Chinese Communist Party, earning an annual salary of 300,000 yuan (a very high salary in China) as well as year-end bonuses.

I saw a window of opportunity and said, "Now you have both fame and money. Which is most important to you: is it money, fame, or your life?" He replied, "Of course my life is the most important." I told him, "On July 4th, 1989, the students at Tiananmen Square promoted the idea of democracy and anti-corruption. The Chinese Commmunist Party claimed that there was not a single life lost during the incident. However, one of my students studying overseas sent me a VCD documenting the massacre." The gentleman said, "That was indeed a scary incident."

I said, "Do you know that the Party's ongoing persecution of Falun Gong is even more inhuman than that?" As soon as he heard me mention Falun Gong, he said, "The government has told us to have the same view about Falun Gong as they do. Let's not talk about this any more." I said, "I am sure that many of your college classmates also practice Falun Gong. It is a matter of personal belief. Falun Gong practitioners are persecuted and tortured inhumanely just because they practice according to the principles of 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.' Don't you sympathize with them?" He did not reply.

Then I said, "Liu Shaoqi and Zhao Ziyang had more fame than you do, but in the end they too were all persecuted to death by the Party. You do want to save your own life, right?" He replied, "How would you suggest that I save my life?" I told him, "The Chinese Communist Party is an evil entity, persecuting tens of millions of Chinese people to death. Heaven will soon destroy this. If you quit your membership in the Party, its Youth league, and the Young Pioneers, you can save your life." He told me, "My last name is He. Now I know that Falun Gong is good. I am willing to quit the Chinese Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. Can you help me do this."

After this experience, I have realized that the people I meet are all predestined and I should make every attempt to let them learn the truth.
