On October 20th, the Itabashi-Ku District of Tokyo held its 36th annual Citizen Festival. This grand celebration, which played host to all kinds of traditional cultural programmes, drew nearly half a million people. The major road in front of the District Culture Centre was designated as the main venue of the festival. However, in order to accommodate more people, another stage was set up in a nearby venue. As a representative group of traditional Chinese culture, local Falun Gong practitioners were invited to perform traditional Chinese cultural programs and demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. The practitioners were highlighted in the event brochure.
At 2 p.m., the practitioners performed at the main venue. First, the practitioners displayed 16 Falun Dafa banners and explained the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". The practitioners then demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Following the demonstration, the practitioners performed the Fan Dance, Tang Drums, and the Dances "Flower Fairy" and "Buddha with a Thousand Hands." The practitioners' beautiful performances received warm applause from the audience.

At 4 p.m., the practitioners performed at the other stage nearby. Again, the practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and performed several dances. While the practitioners were demonstrating the exercises, many from the audience mimicked the movements.

The practitioners said that they were very pleased to see that so many people appreciated the glory of Falun Dafa. Though such performances are very demanding on their time and energy, they will continue to participate in events of this kind to promote Dafa.
