The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) 17th Congress began in mid-October this year. At the beginning of that month, police and judicial agencies from Shenzhou City, Hengshui District and all the townships in-between joined forces to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners on a large scale.
Also participating are local judiciary departments, courtrooms, procurators, 610 Office1, the branch office of the National Bureau of Religion, the local office of the United Front Bureau, and the local office of the National Industrial and Commercial Federation. They have beaten and abused practitioners, broken into and ransacked their homes, confiscated personal property, and extorted huge amounts of money,while continuing a constant harassment.
Here are some of the details:
In the evening of October 2nd, Ms. Xiao Lan from Doufuying village, Shenzhou City, was arrested, and is now being detained at Shenzhou Detention Centre.
On October 4th, at 5am, 8 people from Shenzhou City police station and Dongan village township police station drove to practitioners Wang Qinghui and Guo Yanchun's home in Xiyangtai village, Dongan township. The police broke into their home by climbing over the wall, arresting them and confiscating one laptop computer, one printer, one copier, some DVDs and one satellite receiver. The following day, Lu Xiaoli from the same village was also arrested.
In the evening of October 3rd, police from Yuke township government, Shenzhou City, drove to the home of practitioners Zhang Yunhui and Song Guiling. They were arrested as they returned from corn harvesting in the field and taken to the township judiciary department where they were brutally beaten. Even though they were released after midnight, they were ordered to report to the township government the next day. At present, their whereabouts is unknown.
On October 4th, police from the Tangfeng township police station, Shenzhou City, went to the home of Ms Landuo in Chanyuan village and removed a satellite dish used to receive New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV), a TV company that broadcasts programmes exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. On October 7th, Ms Landuo was arrested, using the ownership of the dish as an excuse, and is now detained at Shenzhou City detention centre. On October 8th, the police again went to her home, and using the key they took when she was arrested, searched the house and refused to allow the children access. They finally left, taking Dafa materials and books. Her family was refused entry, and have become homeless.
In the morning of October 4th, practitioner Diao Huzhen from Ma village, Tangfeng township, Shenzhou City, was arrested. On the same day, they arrested Lin Zhende from another village.
At 11 am on October 7th, practitioner Mr Zhang Yun from Shenzhou City was arrested at his home, and is being detained at Shenzhou City detention centre.
Wang Xuzhao, the director of the police station from Chenshi township, Shenzhou City, and the secretary of political and law department, and several police broke into practitioners' homes in Nazhoubao and Wen villages and took away Dafa books, leaflets exposing the persecution and satellite dishes. A male Dafa practitioner was arrested (no details are known).
In the afternoon of October 7th, Zhang Junfeng, a policeman from Weiqiao township, Shenzhou City (he is from Panjia village, Weiqiao township, Shenzhou City), came with four policemen to practitioner Tian Xingbao's home in Niujia village, Weiqiao township and after ransacking the house, took 1,000 yuan2 in cash, a computer, a printer, MP3, Dafa books, and leaflets exposing the persecution.
Another practitioner Song Ruhui from Beixi has been detained at the detention centre for over three months, and now the police have ransacked Ruhui's elder brother's home and taken him to the detention centre also.
Mr Tie Luan from Lang village was taken to the detention centre, his wife was arrested while working in the field and has been sent to a brainwashing centre.
Dafa practitioners who have been persecuted:
Makou Village: Zhonghuai, Qiuye
Gaozhaoquan Village: Xiao Po, Xiao Fang
Dongyangtai Village: Bai Jiancheng
Dongjingming Village: Song Guiling, Xiao San
Zhangliuguo Village: Song Kui
Huaijiawa Village: Rong Shang
Xiaowei Village: Xiao Zun (who was released after paying 4,000 yuan)
Shaopu Village: Xiao Li
Lang Village: Xiao Za, Da Jun
Former Xijing Village School Principle: Jia Zenghe (the police extorted 10,000 yuan from him.)
Gui Xiang's home, in Qiaotun township, was ransacked,the police taking a savings book with 20,000 yuan and seven hundred in cash, and a computer. She is now being detained at the brainwashing centre.
The police arrested a practitioner from Mu village, beat him around the head, and took 900 yuan from him before sending him to the brainwashing centre.
Two practitioners from Beixing village, Chenshi township, Xiang Tan and a handicapped male were arrested. Xiang Tan was sent to the brainwashing centre, and released after paying 300 yuan. There are no details known about the handicapped male. Huang Chun and Xiang Shen, also from Beixi township, were arrested and released after paying 500 yuan.
In the evening of Oct 18th, Sun Yanqiao was arrested by local police. Her house was ransacked, and she was sent to the detention centre, being released after paying 500 yuan.
At present, there are still 13 people detained at the brainwashing centre. The detention centre has over several dozen people being, but we have no details on them.
The leaders and participants in this persecution are:
Chen Zhen, the director of the police station,
Zhang Dechun, lead of the political and security department of the police station,
Wang Jinggang, head of the local judicial bureau,
Niu Wenhai, director the "610 Office",
Kang Bingchao and Jia Huaiyin (former assistant director of the police station) from the "610 Brain-Wash Session",
Ji Jie, and police from the political and security department.

1. "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
2. "Yuan" is the Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average monthly income of an urban worker in China.
