At around 11:00 a.m. on December 19th, 2007, Dafa practitioner Ms. Gai Xiulong of Tananbo Village, Jiangtong Town, Laiyang City, Shandong Province saw the village security officer Gai Guanghui and two officials, Tao Jian and Lan Xiao, defacing a Falun Gong poster exposing the persecution in front of her house. Ms. Gai went over to persuade them not to do it. They then called the Jiangtong Police Station, which sent six or seven officers to take Ms. Gai into custody.
At the Jiangtong Police Station, the police officers handcuffed Ms. Gai to a heating pipe. Police chief Cui Jianming used an electric baton to shock Ms. Gai in the face, legs, neck and other sensitive areas for nearly ten minutes. During that time, police officer Sun Libin punched Ms. Gai in the head four times. Ms. Gai was handcuffed for more than five hours before the police took them off.
