Mr. Leng Fuyun, a practitioner from Jingyu County, Jilin Province, developed serious hepatitis before practising Falun Dafa and was on the verge of death. After he began practising Falun Dafa, his health improved and he was able to return to work on the farm. Mr. Leng was considerate of others in all respects and his fellow villagers knew him as a good person.

At about 9 a.m. on January 16th, 2007, with Sun Jiahua leading the way, Lu Yingjie and Sou Senjing, directors at the Jingyu County Police Department, Sun Hongqing, the chief of the Political Security Section, and officers of the Huayuan Town Police Station, including Song Xuebing, Yu Xuejun, Jiang Yunzhou, and Zhao Laijun, broke into Mr. Leng's home. They seized a computer, a printer, a paper cutting machine and some other materials without a warrant. In addition, they took Mr. Leng Fuyun, his wife Ms. Jiang Zhongmei, and their son Mr. Leng Jingtao into custody. They were detained in the Jingyu County Detention Centre.

At about 8:30 a.m. on April 27th, 2007, the three family members were taken to court for trial. During the trial, 40 to 50 police and plainclothes officers were stationed around the entrance of the court. At around 10:00 a.m., 20 to 30 of them withdrew, while the remaining officers stayed until the end of the trial.

Mr. Leng has been detained in the Jingyu County Detention Centre for more than one year. During this period, he has been sent to the hospital many times for treatment due to injuries he received during his persecution. The guards told Mr. Leng's relatives to pay for his treatment. The relatives asked to see Mr. Leng, but were rejected without reason.
